We're used to spreading the importance of tech in learning around New England and even around the United States. Our latest trip, however, took us all the way to Moscow, home of EdCrunch 2017! With part of our founding team hailing from Russia, we jumped at the opportunity to present at the two-day conference and introduce some new technologies to our friends across the ocean. After that, some of our other team members made the somewhat shorter trip to the Bronx, NY to host 'The State of EdTech in 2017' in collaboration with Manhattan College. We're happy to report that both trips went great!

Our world tour started in Moscow, where, from Sept. 26-27, we took part in EdCrunch 2017. The conference featured some great presenters and educational innovators, including a few others joining us from the U.S. We were lucky enough to be selected to deliver two presentations - one about Eduporium and our mission and another about how innovative technology, like robotics kits, coding devices, and engineering tools, help launch an affordable learning revolution to prepare kids for an unknown future. The opening ceremony even featured Russia's Deputy Prime Minister! It was a great event and we thank everybody who we met!

Last week, we teamed up with Manhattan College's Department of Instructional Design & Delivery to host 'The State of EdTech in 2017' on their campus in the Bronx. The turnout was excellent and only exceeded by the speakers, including our new friends, Dr. Shawna Bu Shell and Michael Grabowski from Manhattan College and Camil Touimi from our 3D printing partner, MakerBot. Even our founder and CEO, Rick Fredkin, gave a talk on the next steps with virtual reality! All in all, the afternoon was excellent thanks to the phenomenal job done by our hosts!

October's not over yet, though! Later this week, we're heading up to Maine for the Annual ACTEM Conference before making a trip to Bedford, NH a week from today for NHSTE's "Everyone Can Code" Workshop. We'll then be making our yearly appearance at the MassCUE Conference on Oct. 25-26 at Gillette Stadium and heading to western New York for the CNY Annual Fall SLS Conference and Leatherstocking Conference on Oct. 25-26. Yes, we know what you are thinking. That is a lot. If you'll be at any of these events, we hope you'll come find us!

And, for even more on how we help schools and teachers introduce technology to their students, check out the below article from U.S. News & World Report. One of our local school partners is featured, detailing how he helped create a makerspace for everyone using MakerEd technologies and how we helped them get started!
