Cubelets robot blocks make it easy for builders of nearly any age to imagine, craft, and invent countless robot constructions. Cubelets are little blocks of software inside little blocks of hardware. Each Cubelet has a special function, so how you assemble your robot changes its behavior. Every combination is a new creation.

Cubelets make the principles of programming easy to learn and practice. Cubelets’ special combination of software and hardware means that as you build a robot, you build a program. It’s hands-on coding!

Each Cubelet has a special function and belongs to one of three categories: SENSE Cubelets take in information from the robot’s environment, THINK Cubelets compute and change that information, and ACT Cubelets turn that information into a physical action. Cubelets’ magnetic faces make them simple to snap together and pull apart. Connect at least one SENSE, THINK, and ACT Cubelet to create a robot construction.

The Bluetooth Hat pairs robot constructions with mobile devices. Simple, proximity-based pairing makes connecting easy. Cap your creations with the Bluetooth Hat to add new abilities to block combinations using the free Cubelets app. The Cubelets app is your portal to the software blocks inside each Cubelet. The remote control manipulates individual Cubelets to change the behavior of an entire robot construction. Easily switch and swap the software blocks inside your Cubelets. Use Personality Swap to change a Cubelet’s code with the touch of a button. Switch a Drive Cubelet to spin backwards or turn a Flashlight Cubelet into a disco-blinking wonder. Reinvent your robot play with Personality Swap.

The Brilliant Builder Pack is designed to support an entire class or multiple working groups. It enables basic robot building and enhanced learning and play with Cubelets apps. Students can explore coding principles with tactile coding and screen-free robot challenges of all difficulty ratings.

It is easily scaled to older and more experienced builders. Students can build with the high-level THINK Cubelets to develop computer science skills and analyze robot constructions and visualize data flow with the Bar Graph.

Kit Components:

  • 19 Cubelets: 1 Brightness, 2 Distance, 1 Knob, 1 Temperature, 1 Bar Graph, 2 Drive, 1 Flashlight, 2 Rotate, 1 Speaker, 1 Battery, 1 Blocker, 1 Inverse, 1 Maximum, 1 Minimum, 1 Passive, 1 Threshold
  • 1 Bluetooth Hat
  • 4 Brick Adaptors

Cubelets Print and Fold Activity Cards are an out-of-the-box classroom tool for teachers. These cards can be used by educators of any Cubelets skill level. The cards are designed to be set out in small groups to guide learning in a student-driven learning center.

Kit Component Descriptions:

Cubelets:

  • Battery - Provides the energy needed to power robot constructions
  • Brightness - Enables a construction to detect and respond to light
  • Drive - Build robot constructions that navigate their world
  • Distance - Enables a construction to detect and respond to nearby objects
  • Flashlight - Create constructions that shine a dimmable LED light
  • Knob - Potentiometer outputs a 0 when turned fully counterclockwise, and a 1 when turned clockwise
  • Bar Graph - Displays the block's value as a light-up bar graph
  • Blocker - "Blocks" data from its neighbors
  • Inverse - Flips the values it encounters
  • Passive - Transmits power and data just like a wire, but doesn't do anything
  • Threshold - It will output a value of zero until its inputs exceed the threshold set by the knob

Bluetooth Hat - Pair robot constructions with free companion apps

Brick Adaptor - Add style and expand building capabilities with LEGO or other building brick systems

5-Port Charger - For easy charging of multiple Battery Cubelets

Cubelets Container- For durable storage and transport
