As part of our Rising Resources blog series, we’re taking a look at some of the world’s most helpful resources for educators and telling you what you need to know. For this week’s blog, we checked out an online resource called TeAch-nology. Essentially, TeAch-nology is a service that provides educators with thousands of resources that make their teaching and preparation easier on them. They have everything from simple worksheets that cover all subject areas to full-scale lesson plans that allow educators to highlight certain concepts or topics. Keep reading to learn more about TeAch-nology and why you should take some time to explore it!

On the TeAch-nology homepage, there are three main sections where educators can find printable and online materials. These include worksheets, lesson plans, and teacher resources for just about every core academic subject. What’s even better is that some of the categories include important 21st century areas, like critical thinking and research skills. They also have lesson plans for ESL teachers and students as well as options for special education, making TeAch-nology an all-inclusive hub for finding and integrating new lessons.

Clicking on the Science section under ‘worksheets,’ for example, leads to a page with lessons about all sorts of scientific topics, including cells, insects, oceans, the rainforest, dinosaurs, and tons more. In the Dinosaurs section, teachers can find a bunch of pre-made worksheets, coloring sheets, bulletin board materials, writing papers, and specifically crafted teacher resources. They’re all in one place and those that are able to be printed can be done with ease!

In addition to all of the printable resources, TeAch-nology also has a section called ‘Worksheet Makers.’ Here, educators can use their online generator and enter in some sample information based on what they are currently teaching. This tool generates an engaging worksheet for teachers and allows them to quickly print it out from their computer. Some of the sample ideas on TeAch-nology include a science lab generator, word search maker, and “Today in History,” with which teachers can create a new worksheet every day to teach students about which historical events took place on that particular day.

With the ‘Worksheet Maker’ section, teachers can also sift through the sub-categories that offer additional helpful resources. These include educational games, professional development, student safe search engines, teacher software, a teaching glossary, and more. Teachers can also use TeAch-nology to generate sample rubrics if they’d like! Plus, there is content on TeAch-nology for arts and humanities, ELA, math, music education, science, social studies, and even physical education! They all provide teachers with new and creative lesson ideas that will hopefully increase student excitement and save educators time!

Finally, the ‘Web Quests’ section of TeAch-nology provides subject-based web quests to use with students. They offer over 250 to choose from and these Web Quests allow students to search for information on an academic topic they are learning so that they can become more familiar with the core concepts they’ll be discussing as a class. As long as they have access to computers or something to search with in the classroom, this is a good way to build anticipation and also give kids a bit of foundational knowledge on a topic.
