We were happy to join the Ozobot Education team yesterday for a webinar on their virtual solutions. And, good news—we have another upcoming event to tell you about. Next Wednesday, Dec. 9, the Wonder Workshop team is hosting a similar webinar on using the virtual Dash Robot in remote coding education. If you’re familiar with the line of Wonder Workshop robotics solutions and the Dash Robot specifically, you’ll be able to learn about some of the key features and possibilities. The webinar will focus on using the virtual version (known as Dash’s Neighborhood) in distance learning. It's for educators of any academic subject and with any amount of experience using the Dash, Dot, or Cue. Even if you're new, we invite you to learn more about using them in teaching coding, robotics, and STEM skills

The virtual STEAM solution from Wonder Workshop is designed to work just like the physical Dash Robot. Teachers can certainly lead computational thinking and coding lessons using this online version of the Dash and, in the brief webinar, members from their team will outline everything educators need to know. It starts with setting up a Class Connect account (Wonder Workshop’s learning management system). This gives educators what they need to access Dash's Neighborhood. They’ll cover creating an account, setting up a class, and how to access the Blockly coding environment. Attendees will also learn how it all ties together and how teachers can continue coding instruction virtually. There are plenty of projects teachers can access within Dash’s Neighborhood that help make it possible.

Dash’s Neighborhood is a very valuable resource for remote or hybrid STEM learning and attending this session will help educators quickly understand how to fully use it. It will be led by Wonder Workshop’s Robotics and Coding Development Specialist, Tim Tomaso. Tim, along with the rest of the Wonder Workshop team, has been working hard on perfecting this online solution since the onset of school closures last spring. During this time, it’s served countless students and teachers and provided them with a familiar way to ensure their coding education can continue despite all of the uncertainty we’ve been facing.

So, remember to mark your calendars for this quick, 45-minute webinar and demonstration on using Class Connect and the virtual Dash Robot in distance learning. It’s taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 3:30 PM ET via Zoom. If you have any questions about the event or how to sign up, feel free to contact us. Also, if you have questions about Dash’s Neighborhood, we can help with those as well! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram for more!
