Filament strands can be fed into the back of the Build & Play and cranked out by turning the lever. The Build & Play filaments are the same used with the 3Doodler Start and specially designed to be completely safe for kids as young as four years old. There are no hot parts on the exterior of the Build & Play though the filament is warm when it first comes out.
This allows students to mold it to the shape they want but eliminates any chance to burn their skin. Since the Build & Play runs on batteries, there is no need to charge it or plug it in to use. While the Build & Play is compatible with the 3Doodler Start filaments and accessories, it is not compatible with any of the 3Doodler Create+ or PRO filaments or accessories.
