Social–Emotional Learning:

Returning to the school building can present students (as well as teachers) with a lot of fears and uncertainty. After a period of remote learning, isolation, and trauma, helping kids re-establish a social-emotional balance is critical. Though it might be natural to want to jump right back into academics, for many students, it will be necessary for educators to first build relationships. Without that strong sense of social-emotional health, it's much tougher for them to focus on learning.

As we're all aware, the pandemic affected different students in different ways. Besides not seeing friends and missing out on hands-on experiences, their relationships transitioned almost entirely online. Now, it's time to help them feel more at ease as they return to the classroom and, with the right approach, strategies, and technology tools, teachers can help restore that critical balance before expecting students to excel academically.
