Teaming up with our friends from Strawbees Education, we hosted this webinar about connecting STEAM and SEL. To align with today's key educational themes, we touched on re-introducing these experiences in the classroom. Our lead presenter, Andreas Hoel from the Strawbees team did an excellent job of engaging the audience and talking about how classroom teachers can use the various Strawbees kits throughout the curriculum and across all grade levels. As always, we thank Andreas for his time and efforts in hosting this webinar and for our continued partnership.

Of course, we also thank all the educators who attended and made for a very engaged audience. As usual, there were some great questions and conversations that helped to make the webinar extra dynamic. If you were unable to attend, you can find the full replay below and we'll recap all the main points. While focused on using the Strawbees kits and content to re-introduce SEL experiences, Andreas also touched on some other important information pertinent to Strawbees. This begins with ensuring there's enough materials for every student to complete Strawbees projects. Each kit has enough building materials for kids to design, engineer, and quickly understand new STEAM concepts. Plus, they also get to build confidence in group-based discovery and exploration.

Andreas also showed off a couple of Strawbees projects he and his team have built. Their giant crane and interactive, micro:bit-powered devices were among the crowd favorites (you can see them in this replay of the broadcast). He also gave a live demo of how to access and utilize the Strawbees Classroom platform and showed how the micro:bit is compatible with the Strawbees materials. Within this digital environment, educators can find project guides, access lesson plans, assign student projects, share completed projects, and more. They could also search for specific projects and sort those results by grade, standards, various STEM concepts, and even SDGs!

Further, there's space within Strawbees Classroom for teachers to jot notes and monitor student progress. Besides live demos, Andreas covered a lot, so we'd encourage watching the replay for the full experience. It was great to hear first-hand about how the Strawbees team has developed student- and teacher-friendly STEAM and coding lessons while focusing on getting students to think about design, prototyping, and how failures make them better.

Plus, in terms of SEL, the collaborative opportunities students can access when using the Strawbees kits allow them to experience new emotions and discuss progress with their classmates. As their solutions and Strawbees Classroom potentially evolve, we'll keep you updated. You can find our current offerings below and access additional Strawbees content on our blog. We thank Andreas again as well as everybody who attended the webinar. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram for more.
