Flying Disc
Since 700 B.C., flying discs have made a name for themselves. While enjoying the fresh air, students can investigate how discs fly because of its spin (lift), angular momentum (thrust), shape (drag) and even its weight (gravity). Using the various shapes and sizes of flying objects, kids can practice all the most effective throwing, flying, and catching techniques, gaining an understanding of the forces of motion upon objects in flight. After deepening their knowledge of relevant physics concepts, you can then end the final lesson with an exciting game of STEM ultimate frisbee!
