  • PLA is a top material for early concept models because it is easy to use, school-friendly, and works great with breakaway supports, which print faster and can be removed faster than the dissolvable supports. PLA is a corn-based plastic and it's considered to have biodegradable properties under industrial processes.
• PVA PRECISION SUPPORT MATERIAL
  • MakerBot’s Precision Dissolving PVA allows for fast and effortless support removal for your most complex prints.

Please note: This material is a moisture-sensitive material. The spools are all shipped in resealable mylar bags, which are totally impermeable to light and moisture and help protect these filaments from potential damage. Within the spool, there is also desiccant to help keep the environment moisture-free. A moisture-sensitive material will run the risk of high moisture uptake if stored improperly, which could result in decreased print quality and damage to the extruder.
