There’s no feeling quite like building your own tools and the DIY Speaker Kit gives kids that satisfaction as they create their very own personalized speaker from scratch. It's the perfect kit for kids to combine the joy of innovative learning with hands-on crafting while benefitting from their own hard work.

It can be a little daunting when first opening this kit from Tech Will Save Us—at least, I know I felt that way, but it’s actually a lot simpler than it looks. Following the precise instructions included in the box, I was quickly able to learn how to solder and combine the materials to make a real working speaker. I have no real expertise when it comes to crafting, but was still able to build a tech-heavy project from scratch!

Kids also have a great time along the way as they build the speaker since they get to share the experience and the final result with all those around them. It’s one of those unique products that more than one person can enjoy and it definitely helps build a sense of community as everyone reaps the rewards of perfect sounding music!

Building the speaker kit increased my confidence after I successfully completed the project and heard music blasting from an old shoe box. It was quite the accomplishment and helped me realize that, with a little guidance and a bit of determination, I can build anything. I definitely want to explore the world of circuitry even more just because it’s not as intimidating as it once was for me. There’s something about working hard accomplishing a challenging task that is encouraging for kids and leaves them craving more.

Nowadays, when I have friends or family over, I get to tell them that the music they're hearing is coming from my own hand-built speakers—and they don't sound half bad either! To grab a Speaker Kit of your own, visit the Eduporium store!
