At Eduporium, we truly believe in the power of partnerships. We've cultivated some lasting relationships with schools and educational programs all over the Northeast. After helping these partners perfect their technology offerings for their students, we're always thrilled to assist them in other ways, too! This often means supporting them during various events, which we've recently done in several local communities. It's great to give back and we've had fun participating in some this month with more on the horizon! Keep reading to learn more about what we’ve been up to over the last few weeks and what we’ve got up ahead!
We’ve been to a couple of really cool events so far this month in addition to our normal conference schedule this time of year. Surprisingly, more than one event has actually been local for us, so we haven’t had to do too much driving (not that we’re not used to that)! Since we’re located just outside of Boston, in Newton, MA, it’s been fairly easy to get around to events in Boston’s suburbs, including Wellesley and Somerville.
Wellesley STEM Expo
We recently partnered with Wellesley (MA) schools and exhibited at their STEM Expo. It took place on Saturday April 6 and we enjoyed interacting with teachers, parents, and students from their community! It really was a blast to get to demo new tech! They had all sorts of amazing technology on display and their students were very much excited to show it off and learn about some new things. At our table, we featured some of our favorite STEM tools, including Root, Dash, BOLT, and more. The excitement and opportunities for interactive learning really did make for a truly enjoyable day!
Somerville Makerspace
After working together to help them acquire some new technology, we also participated in a meeting of library makerspace educators from a local school system. It was great to learn about what they've done with tech, their plans, and how we can help! We’re definitely excited to see how the vision they were discussing is transformed into a reality and we’re already in the process of making tech recommendations for them to use in their space. We can’t wait to see what other exciting things come from this partnership!
Long Island STEM Meet-Up
And, as a reminder, we are just a couple of weeks away from a STEM teacher meet-up on Long Island! We're partnering with Great Neck South Middle School as they show off their new makerspace! We’ll be hitting the road soon for the meet-up on May 2 and, of course, we’re excited to see this space as well! It’s open to all educators who might want to attend, so if you're in the area, you can reserve your spot!
