Exploring new educational technologies is always exciting except for maybe an instance when you don't know exactly what to do. The initial excitement of getting new EdTech tools can sometimes be overshadowed by the realization that it’s not 100 percent clear what to do with it. After setting it up, sliding in some batteries, and turning it on, some educators then wonder what comes next. For that reason, we’ve been big advocates of creating easy-to-follow starter activities for teachers to use in the classroom and now we’ve taken that initiative a step further!

We're asking educators who have worked with STEM tools and created original activities or projects to submit them to us. We are in the process of building an online hub of educational activities and thought that the educators in our community would be the best source for finding ones that work! While the hub remains under construction at the moment, we’ve begun asking for submissions to feature once it’s fully up! So, if you’d like the chance to help out some fellow educators and, of course, students, we’d love to have you submit your original classroom activities. We'll permanently display on our website once they're up.

What’s in it for you, you might ask? Well, any educator who submits an original classroom activity will receive credit and get it published on the hub. For one person each month, however, we’ll have a bit of an extra reward. Our team will go through all of the submissions we receive and select the most creative one with what we think has the most potential for enhancing the classroom experience for today’s students. And, the educator who submitted it will receive $50 in credit to the Eduporium store! Each month, you’ll have the chance to be selected again as we pick one author per month for store credit.

Educators can submit as many original activities to us as they would like and we will publish them all. If you’d like to submit one or two per month, that’s fine, too! To start submitting the activities you’ve created, download and process the application. It is in a Google Doc format, so follow the instructions for downloading the template into Microsoft Word. After that, you can edit it and send it back to us via email (to support@eduporium.com).

If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to send us an email. We are really looking forward to seeing all of the innovative activity ideas educators use with their students. And, even more so, we’re excited to provide a platform for teachers to share inspiration with other teachers. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date with news surrounding this opportunity and to be the first to know when the hub goes live!
