Overview: Grammar Up is a series of apps that include “Grammar Up”, “Grammar Up: Free Edition” & “Grammar Up: Phrasal Verbs." They feature multiple-choice questions presented in the form of a practice test at the end of which you’re able to view your results and how much time you spent on each question. All of this information is displayed on a beautiful bar chart so that you can see your strengths and focus on your weak areas. The test questions cover everything from adjectives, verbs, pronouns, to adverbs, verb tense and transitions. Get started with any of these three apps and you’re sure to do well on your English grammar exams.

Pros: These apps feature a beautifully designed practice test that covers every area you will need to do well on your grammar exams. Detailed graphs that point out your strengths and weakness.

Cons: These apps are designed to test students but you may be disappointed if you hoped to find grammar lessons here. Some users have been disappointed with the lack of instruction and feel that simply asking questions out of context isn’t enough.

Conclusion:  While Grammar Up series of apps are designed to test students on a wide range of topics it does not provide instruction. For those who need lessons as well as practice questions you can only count on Grammar Up for the latter. While it may not give you everything you need it functions well enough for the purpose for which it was designed.
