If you’re a fan of music and creating your own beats, the PO-12 is the perfect tech toy for you. It perfectly mixes art, technology and modern-day portability in one mobile, beat-producing product that fits right in your hands! For such a small tool, its much more powerful than I imagined as the variety of creatable sounds alone is amazing!

When I first saw the PO-12, I thought it was a calculator, but lo and behold it turned out to be much, much more. It essentially is a rhythm creating machine and, despite all the advances in today's technology, I was still surprised that I could hold it in the palm of my hand. There are a bunch of different tones to choose from and I was excited to get started and try them all! The Pocket Operator (PO) comes pre-installed with a default beat, which kids can edit, change and add sounds to.

That was great for me because I’m not exactly well-versed in the world of musical composition. Like many of today's top EdTech tools it was super easy to use the PO-12 and it really made the music creating process simple but innovative at the same time—with no intimidation to speak of throughout the entire experience!

My creative side was definitely activated while using this portable music creator and composing beats right in the palm of my hands. I could literally go anywhere I want and create music whenever I want, which, in itself, is amazing to me! I had all these options and all of these potential melodies and beats—pretty exciting to say the least!   If you have any ideas or suggestions for products you'd like to see featured on the Eduporium Experiment, comment below or send us a message on Twitter!
