Technologically speaking, XYZ’s new Color-Inkjet PLA filament absorbs ink droplets, allowing the printer to produce full-color prints with ease. With improved tooling, adhesion, and impact resistance, this model is also more durable than previous printers and its easy stop and restart features make adjustments during the printing process a breeze. The printer uses CMYK inkjet technology, which allows droplets of ink to attach themselves to the color-absorbing PLA filament, enabling prints of just about any color imaginable. With the free XYZ software, students can design and produce builds of up to 7.8 x 7.8 x 5.9 inches, utilize layer resolution of up to 400 microns, and leverage auto calibration to add much-needed precision.
