Last week, we partnered with the Ozobot Education team f
or a webinar on their robot in STEAM learning. We’ve long advocated for the Ozobot classroom robots, which students can use screen-free (or not) and code in almost any educational environment. It's evolved a lot along with the Ozobot Classroom learning management system and Ozobot Shape Tracer tool. So, teachers and students have been continuing to use this STEAM solution despite remote learning situations.

In the webinar, Ozobot’s Melissa, Natalie, and Tara talked about some of the most important things educators s
hould know for using their virtual solution. It starts with accessing content through Ozobot Classroom or providing each student with a robot at a 1:1 ratio, so, once teachers have that figured out, coding and keeping track of student engagement and progress are made much easier! Though different from using the physical robot on a tablet screen or on paper, the virtual option is effective. Take a bit to watch the webinar recording, which you can see below.

Whether teaching r
emotely or a hybrid environment, the virtual tools on the Ozobot platform are valuable in coding classes. Though the Evo is more prolific, it's still possible to use Ozobot Bit but not with Ozobot Classroom. Within Ozobot Classroom, teachers can find relevant STEAM projects or activities, create and manage different classes, assign coding challenges, and keep track of individual student progress when it comes to integrating robotics and computer science in remote and hybrid learning (check out the slide deck from the presentation above).

In the webinar, w
e covered a lot of helpful information for continuing coding education in remote learning. We invite you to watch the replay or share it with STEAM teachers and tech specialists in your district.
