Sorry for all the social media postings this past month. We just really had a lot going on. A real lot. Besides hosting our own virtual STEM workshop and participating in a great regional webinar, we made our way to some amazing conferences all around the Northeast. And, everywhere we went, the enthusiasm we were met with made all the hard work worth it. Let’s recap it, shall we?

NYSCATE Hudson Valley Regional Conference: We began on March 4 at the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education Conference in Albany, NY. At our interactive booth and our presentation, we showed the educators in attendance what it means to be superheroes! We’re pleased to say it went great, especially at our presentation, which was filled with energetic educators eager to try our EdTech tools!

SLRI Annual Conference: On March 10, we went down to Providence for the School Libraries of Rhode Island ‘Differentiate Your Library’ Conference. There, we met with educators and librarians, showing them how they could use STEM solutions and custom starter activities to transform their libraries into interactive learning hubs or makerspaces! The attendees came through our Discovery Playground all day, challenging themselves and each other to come up with the most creative ideas for using each EdTech product in their classroom—just what we wanted them to do while at our booth!

Eduporium Virtual Workshop: On March 17, we did the hosting with something other than a conference. Live from our techXplore room, we hosted our own virtual workshop for teachers. During the 3-hour event, we highlighted some of our favorite EdTech tools for STEM students of all ages, focusing on how teachers can use each of them, the specific skills students gain while using them, and the real-world concepts each tool helps illuminate. Coming just over 12 hours after finishing a great webinar with the New England ISTE, we quickly regrouped and helped start some engaging conversations with the participants who attended—and they even gave us some new ideas we are looking forward to trying out!

New York Maker Summit: Last, but not least, we were back in Albany this past weekend for the New York State Maker Summit! With a prime spot for our booth in a very unique setting (below), we found the energy to end March with a bang and we couldn’t have done it without the excitement from all who came by! Yet again, our booth was busy all day long and the keynotes and other presentations were excellent! We even led a session called ‘MakerEd—Lessons for Teachers,’ in which we let attendees touch and feel our STEM products and collaborate to come up with creative ways to use them in the classroom! It really was the perfect way to cap off a very busy month of March.
