We had the chance to deliver our second new Merge Cube in this series of 10 school visits yesterday in the great state of Illinois. For anyone who may not yet have read about this cool initiative, our social media and marketing professional is on an 11-week US road trip. At stop No. 2, we were glad to donate one to Kumar Kayastha at the Westchester Primary School!
This month’s award goes to Kimberly Eure, a middle school teacher at John F Kennedy Middle School in Suffolk, VA! Kimberly is dedicated to helping her “quirky” students find books they love and applied for our grant in hopes that technology might be able to play a role in that! As we have been promoting over the last couple of weeks, one member of the Eduporium team is currently on a country-wide road trip to see some of the best sites in the United States. Thanks to our partners at Merge VR, he has also brought with him 10 Merge Cubes to donate to some of the educators who have applied for our EdTech grant!
Heather Russell is a STEAM teacher from Ecoff Elementary in the Chesterfield (VA) County Public Schools. She is working hard to bring more coding and robotics opportunities to the students in the 39 elementary schools in her district and we’re more than happy to be able to reward her hard work and excellent application!
The recipient of our $500 EdTech grant for the month of June is Jean Daley, a librarian from the Erving Public Library in Erving, MA! Jean is committed to helping the kids in her community learn more about and with technology and will now be able to introduce them to coding and learning in new ways!
The month of May is just about over and that means we have selected another recipient of our monthly $500 EdTech grant. This month’s awardee is Renee Wells, a STEAM teacher at Zephyr Lane Elementary School in Bakersfield, California! Renee and her students have a very intriguing project planned and one that should definitely inspire everyone.
As we do every month, we’ve selected a recipient for our $500 EdTech grant award for the month of April. The awardee is Ashley Alden, a teacher at Dayton Heights Elementary in Los Angeles, California. We really loved Ashley’s application and how she got the inspiration for the project she wants to work on with her students.
It’s time to announce the recipient of Eduporium’s $500 EdTech grant for the month of March. And, the winner is…Jacqueline Firster, a dedicated makerspace manager and STEM teacher from Arlington Public Schools in Virginia. Jacqueline is going to be using her award to create a mobile makerspace and enriched PBL in her school.
The awardee for the month of February is Laura Luker, who is a librarian at the Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School in Hadley, MA! Laura works with students of different ages starting out in elementary school and all the way up through high school, and some of the students are definitely challenged with some pretty cool projects each year.
Since we launched our grant program, we’ve received many excellent proposals and have learned a ton about the creative projects educators have in mind! With that, the latest recipient of our grant is no exception and we’re excited to introduce January’s awardee, Martha Lanaghen from MakerBolder, an afterschool organization in Colorado!
