When it comes to coding experiences in elementary school, Ozobot projects, in particular, create STEAM that's simple. Teachers could break up the Evo Classroom kits and distribute the components for students to share in any educational setting. Students could also try programming the Ozobot Evo with or without a screen and the coding lesson plans in the Ozobot Classroom LMS certainly help make facilitating STEAM lessons with this color coding robot easier on both teachers and librarians. Specifically, that platform helps instructors optimize STEM activities and educators can also use it when learning to teach with the Evo.

The Ozobot educational offerings.

Currently, our Ozobot offerings include three main classroom robot kits and a big selection of accessories. These robotics lessons are great starting as early as kindergarten and, as students progress with coding experiences, they can continue using the Evo in a variety of subjects throughout middle school. Plus, with the newer Ozobot curriculum guides for Blockly and Color Codes as well as your more targeted OzoGoes projects, teachers have lots of opportunities to customize and perfect their STEM instruction. And, as the successor to the Ozobot Bit, the individual Ozobot Evo makes a nice option for teaching coding with or without a screen. With the Evo, children can create real programs on paper using color codes or digitally with the OzoBlockly interface.

Using paper, students can draw their Ozobot color codes with markers or place the color code stickers on the paper. By strategically placing their color codes along the paths their Ozobot Evo is following, students could incorporate programming into their learning—generally alongside other creative elements, like simple storytelling, computational thinking, and design. Even with more extensive components in the Ozobot Evo Classroom kits, the Evo Educator Entry Kit also comes with impactful materials. For teachers in the market for just one Ozobot robot, this kit is certainly a great option.

Ozobot Evo Classroom Kits.

In terms of the more extensive Ozobot kits, these Evo Classroom kits are incredibly in-depth and valuable for STEAM teachers. The only difference in the two versions is in the amount of students they support. One kit comes as an 18-pack to support up to 18 students (or potentially 18 pairs of students). And, the other is a 12-pack for supporting 12 students or 12 student pairs. Both even include the lifetime Ozobot Classroom license, the charging and storage base, Ozobot professional development resources, and more.

The 18-pack includes 18 Evo robots, 18 color code marker sets, and those same additional accessories as the 12-pack. It also includes the lifetime license for accessing Ozobot Classroom. Another set of perks with the classroom kits is the Bot Camp training program. These resources help STEM teachers access coding activities, master the tech specs of the Ozobot Evo, and utilize educator-created resources for maximizing classroom coding lessons. Also, Ozobot Classroom is accessible with ChromeOS, macOS, and Windows devices while students can code on all modern browsers, Android, and iOS devices.

School kits and software.

Of course, the Evo’s in each of the two classroom kits are the same and students can program them using color codes or with OzoBlockly. In both cases, teachers can see how the students engage with real-world, interactive exploration as they learn new coding concepts. With your Ozobot Evo’s Bluetooth abilities, kids can also maximize in-class coding lessons with this added accessibility. They can even combine individual programs with friends’ and race, program together, or play collaborative STEM games.

Each of the classroom kits come with an Ozobot Classroom license, which allows for up to five educator accounts. In addition, within each instructor's account, they can create up to five classes. Then, they can distribute coding lessons, track student progress, and even assign robots to each student. With access to the entire Evo lesson library, teachers can easily find and sort STEM lessons with increasingly challenging elements for their students.

Ozobot charging and storage base.

The other key accessory that’s a part of the Ozobot classroom kits is the charging base. These used to be available separately but they now come with each of the class packs. The charging base allows instructors to charge up to 18 Ozobot Evo robots at a time. They slide easily into the slots and the base itself takes up hardly any space. And, once they are done charging, educators can also use it to store the robots between lessons, overnight, or during the summer months.

The slots also have guides that show kids how to insert the robots if they’re the ones charging them. Plus, the charging base also integrates with Ozobot Classroom. Once educators assign every student a robot to use, they can then can grab that one right away. The robot they assign then lights up with a different color code for children in different groups to identify. This certainly makes it easy for them to grab the right one and for managing devices and running lessons.

Additional Ozobot accessories for educators.

Finally, the other two Evo accessories on our store include the Ozobot Color Code Markers and the Ozobot Color Code Magnets. There is one marker kit with a set of red, blue, green, and black dual-tip markers, and three magnet kits: the Base Kit, Speed Kit, and Special Moves Kit. The markers also come with each of the classroom packs (12 or 18 sets). Unlike some other Ozobot accessories, however, they're also available for teachers to purchase alone in packs of four. The markers work along the same idea and students can draw their own codes onto paper and other surfaces. They're washable, non-toxic, and more classroom-friendly than the markers students may have previously used with the Ozobot Bit model.

As one of the most reliable STEM education solutions, the Ozobot line includes a ton of helpful content and components. Thanks to the exceptional simplicity of that Ozobot Classroom software as well, K-8 teachers can add some excitement to teaching with technology without adding any new hurdles to their preparation. If you’d like to add Evo robots to your STEM program, you can find our latest offerings on our store. We'll also do our best to continue to provide clear communication about lead times.
