Giving educators a Saturday morning read, many of our Eduporium Weekly posts reflect recent happenings, important updates, or, sometimes, some fun revelations. We're also very fortunate to serve a community of such committed educators. For that reason, we strive to keep our thoughts and content fresh. And, this section of our blog is a great place to go for just that.
Whatever is happening in education, we believe our committed team members help educators adjust. As we've seen, technology has a place in all types of learning—as long as educators integrate it strategically. As debates and discussions in STEAM and general education evolve, we adapt this content to continually educate, inform, and entertain. Our perspective may be a bit unique but our collective expertise on these topics is always improving. We also encourage you to browse the pages or search for a topic of your interest on the left of your screen. We certainly take pride in being up to date with what teachers are experiencing. From our entire team, we hope this content truly provides you with guidance and inspiration. Check back every weekend, as well, for the latest edition of the Eduporium Weekly.

Keeping up With Career and Technical Education

Since more school systems are transitioning toward offering some kind of CTE program for students in high school grades, it’s becoming even more important they do this the right way. In many places, career and technical education (CTE) is taking off in colleges and universities, but also coming into play even earlier than that by necessity.

Catalyzing Classroom Learning with Innovative Technology

Tech tools have the ability to engage students and they help catalyze tech skills growth by default. Makerspaces are super versatile, however, so if you are struggling with finding the right placement in your school (or any place), it shouldn’t bee too much of a challenge.

We Bet You Didn't Know These Ways of Teaching Coding

Whether it’s because of a lack of good resources, lack of funds, or lack of knowing how easy it is to get started, many school and district leaders do not provide their students with CS education opportunities. Luckily, coding is becoming easier to learn, which also means it’s become easier to teach. While they may seem unlikely, here are some ways of doing so.

Keeping Teachers Sharp During the Summer

Ah, the myth of having summers off. Those outside the teaching profession tend to become filled with jealousy every year about this time because they’re stuck at work and teachers are stuck…doing absolutely nothing. Or so that’s what they think. The fact is that, especially today, teachers cannot afford to take summers completely off.
